Double T Quilt Block
Part of: Nine Patch Quilt BlocksFlying Geese Quilt BlocksTwo Color Quilt Blocks
Double T stacks two flying geese on each side so the dark sky triangles form paired T shapes pointing into a plain center. The large background corners keep the block calm and quick to sew.

Method
Piecing steps
Step 1: Make eight flying geese with background goose triangles and dark sky triangles; trim each to 4 1/2" by 2 1/2".
Step 2: Sew the geese in matching stacked pairs, both pointing toward the block center. Each pair measures 4 1/2".
Step 3: Lay out three rows with background squares in the corners and center.
Step 4: Sew the rows, pressing toward the background squares.
Step 5: Join the rows with a 1/4-inch seam allowance, matching each seam intersection. Press and check the unfinished block measures 12 1/2" square.
